Yes they make great wine. Yes it’s pay to play, but who thought putting 11 of the first 18 wines in the buyers guide was a great marketing idea?

They just make great wine. Nothing else to say. They also make their wines available for tasting.

Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator should not be taken seriously when it comes to stuff like this.

Like it or not, this is how it works. Hate game, not player, yadda yadda…

That’s about $1.5k per wine, though they maybe got a group rate.

Straight-up obnoxious. Their Pinots are all formulaic and taste the same – so the identical scores are no surprise.

We make a Bacigalupi Zin that is $45

I bet ours is just as good.

New to wine (currently ending week 2 of level 1 WSET)

What are some good magazines? I am thinking I may eventually make it through level 3. Don’t really have higher goals than that, it’s a hobby. I’m 65 just retired, with very little experience. It’s been an interesting intro course so far

  8. I didn’t buy anything from WS allocation this year.
