It really is very versatile, I have found. Use it in place of cayenne for starters.

You just sprinkle it on top of stuff. it’s a condiment/dressing not an ingredient. It will go on anything even vaguely south Asian. It’s not particularly strong, but the flavours increase as it soaks in.

Shichimi is my go to for Japanese curry, ramen, and rice
I also put Ichimi (just the peppers) on everything

One of my favorite ramen spots has this on the table and I enjoyed it on there
Wagamama used to have (maybe some still have) a “firecracker chicken” dish that had it as a garnish for the rice. I love it and make it often at home.
