Listen, a cake from scratch is impressive enough with all these decorations and fondant used. Cake decorating is definitely one of those that is waaaaay harder than it looks.
I do recommend Anne Readon on YT and her Failed It series where she fixes up failed cakes. They’re quite easy to do and great for beginners.
Super sweet and friendly woman that understands not everyone had the same skill level as a professional or even baking tools.
