First off I’ll say that it was really good. However, the spice is not anything to write home about. At level 4 (the max level you can choose), the first sip is like “okay wow this is spicy” but after that first sip it’s just average spicy ramen.

Compared to the Red Dragon at Ramen Isshin it is a smidge spicier (maybe? I might be being generous) but really not noticeably so.
Also, there is no marinated egg, no nori and just generally less in you bowl than the Red Dragon.

That being said it costs a few dollars less than Ramen Isshin, God Fire was $17 while Red Dragon is $22.95

And it’s worth noting that you can pay for extra items (egg, more meat, more noodles etc..) at Ikkousha which I did not do, so maybe adding all those to increase the price to $22.95 would be a fairer comparison.

Spice level 6/10 nose running but that’s it. For a name like God Fire and selecting max spice level I was expecting a LOT more, this isn’t a destination for spicy enjoyers BUT if you’re an average person you might be impressed(?)

Flavour level 8/10 this was a good bowl of ‘amen and they have a Ramen sauce (basically pure umami oil) that you can freely use to up the flavour as well as sesame seeds in a grinder that you can grind yourself onto your bowl which is neat. There’s also many things you can add to your base ramen for an additional fee which was cool.

Overall, good ramen but not crazy spicy.
