I’ve been reading tons of posts and looking at all your inspiring posts! I have a long way to go but I’m having so much fun!

I’ll ask a quick question – do you find temperature in your house matters from 60 degrees to 70s? I’m curious how things may change when things warm up. And once icing is set, can it melt? Thinking in like, 100 degree weather.

Thanks!!

If you used royal icing, as far as I know, it shouldn’t melt — at least it never has for me (and sometimes in the summer, it can get like 80 degrees F in our home). Because it has no fat — just sugar, water, and egg whites/meringue powder — there’s really nothing in it that can melt at these temps

Great job!! These are so cute!

Royal icing shouldn’t melt, but if you’re packaging the cookies (for example, in individual bags) sometimes the icing can transfer slightly to the inside of the bags even when they’re fully dry! You can use a food-safe brush to dust on some corn starch to the cookies after they’re fully dry (just a light amount, and dust it all away after!); it won’t change the taste at all but that can help the icing from doing that. I hope that makes sense 😅

Wow. Great job. I love the boot. So subtle white on white. And you did a great job with the wet on wet bluebonnets.

The flower design is so pretty! I love how minimalist they are, it really makes the flowers and their little details pop!
