First experience with a Roulot wine. Most of his bottles are out of my price range unfortunately…but I was able to find this Aligote from a local retailer and grabbed it. $78

Nose:
Green apple, lemon zest, great minerality. Still feels closed down

Palate: crisp and refreshing, almost Chablis like…lemon rind, green apples, citrus.

Finish: not very long but enjoyable.

Paired with an Apple, Manchego, chive salad

  1. It’s a shame but his Bourgogne Blanc is very meh for the price these days. I think in the past it was considerd a baby Meursault but now it just tastes like a generic Bourgogne

Aligote gang! Haven’t had his, but I just love seeing aligote here, minor grapes need the spotlight too.
