I went to total wine today to look at their Bordeaux selection. And found a Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste for what I believed was ~$47 according to the tag.

Took it to register and the guy scanned it multiple times and it wasn’t showing up in their system. After a few different attempts he typed in something on the bottle into the computer and found it, marked at $97, to which I replied I’m pretty sure the tag said $47 and that I’m happy to go show them where I found it. (Maybe I did pull the wrong one?)

Manager honored the $47 and said “it probably won’t be that much when you get it again” haha.

Anyway – haven’t tried it, but will share tasting notes once I do.

Anyone have this before? How is it??

  1. It’s a nice bottle.
    Certainly worth more than $47

That’s a steal. Haven’t seen gpl at sub 50 in like 20 years.

  3. It’s excellent. I’d buy them all at that price.
