I’m not talking so much about the style of the letters- I know that takes practice. My issue is that the icing kept coming out of the piping bag unevenly, making the letters shaky even when my hand was steady. I’m not sure if this was a consistency issue, or maybe I didn’t cut enough of the tip off the bag? I will admit I had to do these faster than I’d have liked to (it’s just for my sister-in-law, she won’t care either way), but I’m not sure how to fix the issue in the future. Any tips would be appreciated!

It’s a consistency issue. I also struggle with this—my icing is always either too runny or too stiff 😭
People use projectors too!
As usual it’s all about consistency. [this](https://youtu.be/AObfqJGyXsY?si=vIz40UiiHzfPQdEy) video helped me so much with consistencies when I was first getting started. I use a soft peak for lettering and details such as everything you did in black here. Your cookies look great!
You already noted that it takes a lot of practice to get pretty letters and such, but also keep in mind that many of us use projectors for lettering fonts, so definitely don’t compare yourself harshly!
