I was in the mood for gyoza, but wanted less carbohydrates and more volume. I think it turned out well and that's why I'm sharing a recipe experiment here for the first time today.
The mixture consists of:
400g fat-reduced beef/pork mince
200g chopped white cabbage
150g spring onion
100g chopped prawns
15g soy sauce
Some ginger and garlic
Salt, Msg and pepper
I mixed everything together and formed 12 gyoza balls. Then place in the airfryer for 15 minutes at 120c (250F) and turn the temperature up again for 3 minutes to 200c (390F).
The dipping sauce is simple:
Soy sauce
Rice vinegar
A sweetener of your choice
The flavor profile was very reminiscent of gyoza and the cabbage and shrimp added volume. I think you could also throw them into a ramen broth.
I got 12 balls and calculated 75 kcal per ball.
