Smoky baba ghanoush recipe 



Baba Ghanoush, a cherished smoky Lebanese/Levantine dip, is crafted from roasted eggplant, tahini, garlic, and an abundance of lemon juice. The roasted eggplant imparts a rich, smoky flavor to this dish, making it an ideal addition to your mezze favorites, such as hummus and pita bread.

Baba Ghanoush Recipe:

– 4 large eggplants
– 1 cup @tazah tahini
– 1/4 cup lemon juice
– 4 cloves garlic
– Salt to taste

– Chopped parsley
– Chopped tomatoes
– Chopped jalapeños
– Chopped cucumbers
– Traditional Lebanese olive oil

For a smoky Baba Ghanoush, commence by roasting your eggplant over a wood fire. If you lack access to a natural smoke grill, you can alternatively use the stove to char the eggplants. Simply cook them for 5 minutes on each side to blacken the skin before transferring them to the oven. Bake at 400°.

Once charred, pierce the eggplants with a knife in several places and place them on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Roast them in the oven for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until the eggplant is completely softened. Once cooled, peel the eggplants, strain them thoroughly, and place them in a bowl. Use a fork to string the eggplant or chop it if you prefer a smoother texture.

Add @tazah tahini, lemon juice, smashed garlic, and blend well before incorporating the eggplant. Tazah tahini is recommended due to its creamy texture and ability to blend seamlessly without separating. Mix in all the ingredients until thoroughly combined. Season with salt to taste and garnish with your preferred toppings before serving.

    I tried making baba ganoush once. It turned out disgusting, and from now on I will just buy it from Aladdin's.
    Too much work to be worth it. I have come to the conclusion that I just don't like eggplant much. Gotta do so much stuff to it before it's edible.
