Is this correct? If so, why is it so low in protein?

20.5 g of protein for 170 calories is really good

  2. definitely not low in protein, and it looks correct. chicken isnt pure protein, there’s still fat and other nutrients. 20.5 g is pretty good for 170 calories.

  3. drumsticks arent the same as chicken breast so id check that

Also, you’ll sometimes get variant nutritional content when they injection with saline for ‘seasoning’. I see this with chicken breasts most frequently.

A breast has more protein than a leg or a thigh. This is a mixed pack of light and dark meat chicken pieces, so I imagine the protein appears to be slightly less than it would be for breasts alone.

The question is why is the “split breast” so high in fat? Are those with skin or skinless? And I assume you bought both? The nutrition facts would be as the condition the product is, and in this case, it is raw.

That does seem low for chicken breast. Is it marinated?

These could also easily be cooled in or injected with some water/saline that would inflate the weight without adding protein. This is very common for american chicken. To avoid this, look for “air chilled” chicken.
