This is my personal ideal. My modified Tollhouse recipe has extra flour to encourage it, plus I meticulously keep the dough refrigerated so it’s never too soft going in the oven to retain the fluffy shape.

Those are beautiful and look delicious. I don’t really ever recall having had a “cakey” chocolate chip cookie, so I can’t really give you my thoughts on that, but otherwise your cookies look scrumptious!

These look almost just like my grandma used to make. We never did get her recipe just right because she baked for decades without using them much. What’s this recipe? I’d like to give it another go to see if I can get closer. She passed away almost 20 years ago, but her cookies live on in my memories.

I personally do not like thick or cakey cookies, they tend to lack flavor (or taste more like flour, bleh) in my experience…but there are definitely a lot of people who love them!

My own personal recipe (read: one I use, not one I came up with) makes them more cakey. It uses vanilla pudding mix and they are my favorite. But maybe I’m biased! 😊

I LOVE cakes chocolate chip cookies. Sure, sometimes I want a crunch, but opening it up, the chocolate gooeyness, the texture, the appearance, AUGH. I end up dissecting it, taking out the chocolate chips and eating the dough part first then the chips after

Your cookies appear to be positively overflowing with chocolate chips. That could explain why they are a bit thicker. Wouldn’t be a problem for a chocoholic like me. They look yummy!!!
