If true this would solve multiple issues pertaining to malnutrition globally. This has got to be a mistake

What brand is this? Most canned potatoes have 1g of protein and 2g of fiber per serving.

Looking at the typical nutrition in white potatoes, this has to be a mistake.

There is research that shows that some carbohydrates, when cooled, turn into resistant starches which are fiber foods that the body can use better than simple carbs.

Can we get a picture of the ingredients?

No way potatoes have that much protein

This can’t be right. There are 4 calories in a gram of carb and 4 calories in a gram of protein. 4 x 19 =76, 4 x 8=32, and so with those macros the calories per serving should be 108 not 80. If the carb count and calories are assumed correct based off any other white potato macros that means there is only one gram of protein which is the 4 calories to add to the 76 carb calories to make 80.

Potatoes are good on so many levels

pls take one for the team and contact the brand to see if this is actually true 😂
Why does this look more like jicama or kudzu root?

8 gm of protein is impossible. It’d have been insanely popular if this was somehow real.

Umfortunely that’s typically the food bank brand and all their products are notoriously wrong. The cans of carrots say 80 Cals per serving instead of 35

I can’t find any information/ website online about this mystery brand. I was hoping at least an article about its nutritional info being incorrect. but I can’t even track down the brand “michigan made”

What are the ingredients? Are there additives normally not in canned potatoes?
Aromatic_Accident378
Based on the amount of potatoes in my diet (one of my main carb sources), my 140 grams of protein per day diet would shoot up to 180, I’d sue. (Jk, just hungry lol).
