Needs rested/less cooking. As does your mother.

That’s not your real mom I am.

Report her to the police and then invite me over for beef Wellington.

Cut her a piece, sear it well done in a skillet

Looks great, just probably should have rested it a bit more. I have a mom that’s a well doner, and it’s really kind of hard to force it. While I’d eat it as is, you could always cut a slice out and sear the open meat sides for her a little. Then maybe she’d at least try it, baby steps into enjoying the juicier cook levels.

I’ll help you with your mummy issues. Set my place and I’ll be round in 30 mins.

Her loss. Looks delicious (if I liked mushrooms…).

Wow. Typically not a fan but this looks awesome.

Really, a truly gorgeous dish obviously prepared expertly. I would hope to get something this good at a high end restaurant. EXTREMELY well done, Sir.
    Thank you.

Is it possible to purchase a new mom? Like do they sell those

Lesson learned: don’t cook steak for your mother anymore.

This is not a joke…. I’ve had beef Wellington only one time and it was at Gordo Ramsys Hells Kitchen in Las Vegas…. Yours looks better than the one I had.

  13. I spent most of my adult life trying to convince my Mom to at least try steak cooked other than well done. I love mine the rarer the better. She refused every time 😏

I’d say it’s on the rare side of medium-rare, but you did the right thing cooking it that way. If people like meat a little more done, you can put their slice back into the oven or under the broiler for a few minutes, which is easy. It’s really tricky to uncook meat unless you have a TARDIS.
