I planted some jalapeño seeds from a Publix jalapeño and I have no idea what I’m doing. Any tips?
Should they be more spread out? What should I be doing at this stage?

They look pretty good so far, but they will soon be competing for space as there’s more than 1 plant per pot. You just need to carefully separate them when you pot them up

How fun! Are there holes in the bottoms of those containers?

Definitely bigger pots and more spread out. 5-gallon pots should be good for Jalapenos. Something around a 12″ diameter pot. Ideally just one plant per pot, but it’s OK to have two plants.
That soil looks really wet. It might be that you just watered them. Let the soil dry out a bit in between watering. Don’t drown them. The pots should have drainage to let the extra water drain away.
Eventually they’ll want some nutrients too. If you buy new potting soil to put them in new bigger pots, that soil will have nutrients to last 1-2 months. After that if they don’t get some plant food, they’ll start to get yellow and generally won’t grow as well or be as healthy and productive.
