  1. I am from the south and only eat instant grits. I use a whisk and add butter. You have to get the hot water ratio just right. Im the only one that eats them so it suits me.

  2. Corn grits or rice grits are great for breakfast with a pool of melted butter in a mini lake on the top of the grit mound and then sprinkled with a little salt, pepper and/or cheese. If you haven't tried them, you don't know what you are missing. They are also great as a side to a nice big juicy steak with seasoned butter or a hamburger steak with gravy poured over the hamburger steak and buttered grits. (NOW I'M HUNGRY)

  3. With the price of Eggs I’ve been substituting Lobster in place of Eggs when I can doesn’t always turn out great but sure taste good 👍

  4. Looks great! I was wondering if there is a specific brand of grits preferred? Or are they all pretty much the same? I'm definitely going to try this
    casserole…Thanks Becky 😊

  5. I am getting some grits tomorrow. And sausage. The recipe makes me hungry. ❤
I tell everyone who is worried about everything basically what you said: don't worry about things. God is still on the throne and in control. He's gonna take care of everything and it's all going to be alright. He will take care of us all. Just trust in Him ❤

  6. becky…im 60 yrs old…and i remenber on sats when i got up it was cartoon day , so my butt landed right in frt of the tv…blk /white. and dad and mom would make pancakes, eggs, bacon , cinnamon toast and the best grits ever !!! i had mine just like you do butter and sugar.. or maple syurp… soooooo good made the cartoons even better;];];] thanks for the trip down memory lane;];];]

  7. This was fun. I've never seen or eaten grits. I don't know anyone who eats them. I sure didn't know how to cook or eat them. I'll have to figure out where to buy some. I have never seen it in our stores or in any restaurant menus. That's the Pacific NW for you.

  8. I LOVE GRITS WITH BUTTER, SALT AND PEPPER! YUMMY! Becky you really are an amazing chef! When I watch you cook I feel like I'm down on the farm in Casey County Kentucky at my granny and gramps' farm! My granny used to make platters of eggs, big huge bowl of gravy, platter of bacon, sausage, homemade biscuits…did i mention gravy! Oh and my favorite, COUNTRY HAM! Thank you! The Lord is great! I hope you are doing alright and your family!

  9. Could you share the name of the Grits maker- that gentleman who makes them near you and personally makes sure they are gluten free?

  10. When, I was growing up our mom and grandma would fix fried grits we loved them that way and, that’s how we would have them with our breakfast, for some reason they quit making them. 14:28

  11. I haven't tried them with sugar-mama didn't make grits now she made the old fashioned hominey soaking them in lye ect i started eating grits a few years ago -I love them made with some grits-cheddar cheese and bacon bits yummy-growing up on a little farm in the hills of Ark and rise is something we always put milk butter and sugar -never heard of savory rice till after i got married 49 years agoand my husband was from Illinois -they ard rice that wasn't sweet😂❤❤

  12. I'm kinda embarrassed to say this but my husband accidentally got instant grits at the store and… I like them better. I just do. You just boil water and pour it over the top and then keep working on the rest of breakfast. What a time saver. I am going to have to look around see if it's even remotely cost effective to get them but if it is, that's what I'm getting going forward.

  13. My daddy always loved cream of wheat. People don't really eat it much these days but it's so comforting in the cold months.
