Same! There is a cool sort of primal connection knowing our great human ancestors cooked the same way. It’s time consuming, difficult to master, and incredibly rewarding. There is nothing else that compares to the taste and smell.

that probe isn’t meant for direct heat btw 😅 ask me how i know
it’s definitely cuz i read the manual beforehand, definitely not cuz of anything else

Hell yea! What I like to do is reverse sear my steak in my air fryer oven, I’ll pull it just a little earlier than I would for pan searing, then I’ll sear over an open fire for about 2 mins per side.
