Today is my 42nd birthday. Took the family to the aquarium and then stopped and got dinner stuff. $26 for a couple NYs, first time in a long time I have bought anything but costco NYs. Since they were thinner than I am used to, I was worried I'd over cook them. 5 mins on each side in a skillet then cooked to 140 in the oven.

Also made garlic ranch mashed potatoes. Cubbed potatoes, boiled till fork soft, powdered garlic, butter, milk, sour cream and ranch. Salad was just cheap mix and the blue cheese came out way too fast lol.

Anyway, I recently became aware of this sub and wanted to see how I did. I always repeat what my dad would say when we would sit down to a meal like this… I wonder what the poor people are eating tonight. Lol (obviously us being the poor people, It's a joke)

Steak looks great. Taters too! And while I realize nobody likes extra dishes, please put salad in a bowl. LoL even a paper one.
