Got new knives today at work, the blade doesn’t even reach the board is this normal?

    On a completely unrelated note, flattops are usually hot enough to melt most plastics. So it’s important to be careful where you put your tools

    Just get yourself a good chefs knife and bring it in with you. I absolutely hate those dull ass shitty knives

    My boss bought the same knives and I instantly found this problem haha

    My only solution was bring the chopping board close to the edge, hanging the plastic handle over the edge as I cut.

    I lasted one day before I just brought my own knives in

    That’s a butcher’s knife. I have an fdick one and it’s awesome for cutting steaks but it obviously doesn’t work as a chefs knife
