I was so excited about how well things were going for my first attempt at growing (anything) so I got a new, bigger shelf to move everything to. Turns out the shelf is too big because now the cats have room to stand on it … Anyone have recommendations for covers that would fit over the rack? 48"x18"x72".

There’s a professional cover available but you can try buying the one that is used to make your shelve into a clothing closet!

Well, first of all, you’re going to need to restart those seedlings. If they get topped that early, their chance of survival is basically nill.

As far as cat proofing goes, I’d zip tie chicken wire to the shelving. Or just don’t let the cats onto that room

Have you considered getting some cat-proofing matting with those little plastic spikes like they use to keep pigeons off the ledges of roofs?

Something like [this](https://a.co/d/aaLXUWK) helps keep my cats away from the no-go zones. I’d just trim to fit some around the seedling tray.

Can’t believe after the 10’s of thousands of seedlings I’ve done that I never thought of the tiny clear cups as individual humidity domes. Brilliant

That happened to me and I yelled at the wrong cat! It was the orange one, not the void.
