Skip the pomegranate (thats optional) but this dish is all about tempering. It brings incredible flavor to the dish, and of course yoghurt helps your gut as well. You usually see pomegranate or cilantro which is used for garnishing but usually are optional.
*Edit:* tempering ingredients include urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chillies and a tiny bit of Asafoetida. Also, add salt in rice.

Best probiotic dish, best suitable for the hot weather, which south indian die for. We can live only on that.

What’s the difference between this and rice pudding? Milk vs yogurt that’s it?

It’s a little more complicated than just mixing rice with yogurt. It’s actually delicious. You can read about it [here](https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/curd-rice-recipe/)
