I planted one seed in each cell but it looks like two of my Blondkopfchen seeds resulted in polyembryony.

This is my first time growing Blondkopfchen. Is this a common trait for this cherry tomato variety? Or is this possibly a weird fluke? Or is it likely I somehow had two sets of seeds stuck together?

This happened to me!! Just this week with a seed I saved from a “Spanish heirloom” tomato from Aldi!!!! I know for a fact I only planted one seed and two sprouts have emerged?!

It is much more common for little cherry tomato seeds to stick together. That would be my guess.

Just sip away one of each pair with scissors. Don’t try to separate them.
