This vlog is a bumper extra long vlog as I show you what we get up to in our 5 days at sea as we sail across the Atlantic Ocean!
I start off by showing you the map and our crossing. I show you throughout the vlog the amazing character interactions you get on these long cruises. In particular 4 incredible character group shots – Halloween, Pirates, Plain clothes and Sailing outfits! We go to a DVC meeting and consider purchasing Disney Vacation Club, are any of you DVC members?
We do lots of Disney Trivia I show you some music trivia, disney trivia, Star Wars trivia. I show you some of the coffee at Vista cafe.
I show you dining at each of the restaurants on the dining rotation. Enchanted Garden, Animator’s Palate and Royal Palace. Also Royal Palace for lunch. I go through all of the menus and the food we order. I show you all the different themes each night as well. We have international night, mediterranean night, land and sea night. On one night we have a star gazing night top deck to see the stars.
On Sea Day 2, a celebrity chef Jon Ashton hosted a show called Anyone Can Cook and he baked a chocolate tart, we got free wine and food and it was so entertaining and funny. We go to the laundry and I show you the ironing and washing facilities on board.
Every day they had different scavenger hunts on board. I then go around the staterooms and all the decks and do some pin trading! There was also Officer’s hide and seek, the captain also got involved! We have a semi-formal night and the entertainment on board is a magician called Eric Jones. We get to meet Don Ducky Williams! We all received a free lithograph to get signed! Such an honour!
Sea Day 3 we head to top deck and go on the Aqua Duck! We relax in the hot tubs and pool while it was nice and quiet! We win another quiz, the Star Wars trivia. Sea Day 4 is Jack Jack’s Diaper Dash, always so much fun to watch!! And they have Mickey churro waffles for breakfast! We go on an Art of the Theme Show tour and tour around the Disney Dream. 1. We'd love to do a transatlantic! We're DVC! And we've just added to our contract with Polynesian. We now have two home resorts. Riviera and Polynesian. I advise not to keep the loan with Disney direct. Transfer to a UK loan and pay off Disney. Works out cheaper overall and we managed to reduce pay back time. We love it and it's allowed us to experience so much (including Disneyland CA hotel). It's only worth it if you're going to use it. We always stay at Deluxe resorts, with the price increases of resorts DVC is a no brainer for us. Also the discounts have been well used 😂

  2. This was amazing!! Glad we bought snacks😄😄 As far as DVC goes we figured we can always rent points from DVC rental store and stay at a DVC property paying moderate resort prices! Without being tied to a long term commitment with ever increasing annual dues! Something to think about!! Take care and have a great week!!! PS The cooking segment was hilarious 😂😂

  3. We are DVC members since 2013. Bought on a cruise. Best purchase we ever made! Wish we would have bought sooner. Our home resort is AKL. We did it so it would give us an opportunity to stay at places we normally couldn’t afford. We have gone to Aulani three times, stayed at Poly, Rivera, Grand CA & The Villa’s at Disneyland. You are pre planning your Disney vacations. If you can do it, would highly recommend! We have made so many memories & met such great people.

  4. Fun seeing your sea days! So many great things you were able to do on those days. You know we are DVC. Our home resorts are AK and Aulani. We joined 2013 and have never regretted joining. We use our points at WDW and Aulani. We have not used them for DVC as we feel they are more cost effective to use for hotel stays. We love doing trivia! So jealous that you have one three quizzes so far. We enjoyed doing the Art of the Show tour as well. We knew about the stars on the carpet but did not know about the carpet colors meaning where you are on the ship. Loved Simon’s penguin at Animators Palate.

  5. Lovedddd this vlog! So many amazing highlights, love a sea day and they look jam packed with so many fun activities. By any chance, did you find out where the navy fish extender was from? It’s amazing! 😍

  6. We have been DVC members since 2005. We love it and my 23, 25 year old sons still come with us. We love Aulani and Have been to Disneyland as well. Home resort is Sarasota Springs but have only stayed there 1 time. DVC is the best!! Do it!!

  7. Another great vlog albeit a bit longer than usual (I think that is correct). Thanks for all the info and it looks like you had a wonderful time.

  8. I've been a DVC member for 11 years now, I bought 100 points in 2014 at AKL. I do love it, however, in recent years I feel like its lost some of its charm. We don't get nearly as many deals as we used to get eback when i first bought in and its getting harder and harder to book at other resorts that aren't your home resort now with a vailability being so limited. I will say though i wouldn't trade it for the world and wish i had bought more points and thought about buying resale points so i could have gotten more points for the price i paid!!!

  9. Loved this Claire, I adored sea days on our recent Dream Cruise and 5 in row would be heaven to me!
Spotted some familiar faces including our server Craig dancing with the celeb chef. Inez was also on our cruise and is so much fun – crew members are the best

Can’t wait to see what you think of Lookout Cay ❤

  10. After your dream Christmas Disney trip I had forgotten you were still travelling across the Atlantic on this trip.
Simon’s mum is a very talented artist.
Simon is someone you need with you to make sense of the DVC figures. Though they looked frightening to me. Like another mortgage. 😂
Simon’s mum came up trumps again with the crayons task at dinner. Though since she’s cruised so many times, she’s probably seen them all before. 😂😂
The cookery show was such fun with the world’s first scouse comic chef. 😂
The Aqua Duck was even more fun. 😂
I would be more surprised if Simon didn’t win a Star Wars trivia quiz. 😂😂
The sea days passed so easily. So much to do and see to keep you entertained. An enjoyable hour as usual. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Loved this vlog especially seeing all the food options and characters interactions on the sea days, loved seeing Halloween 🎃 again, I’m looking forward to your Xmas cruise vlogs xx

  12. I think the kids walked as they had to be at least 12 months to do a sailing like that? I think anyway?

  13. Wow, what an amazing 5 days. Seeing so many characters was the best. Doing a transatlantic Disney cruise 🚢 is on my bucket list.

  14. Hey! I found your channel a few days ago and binge watch your videos since then. It’s great. I’ve got a question though: I‘ve seen your Minnie Mouse (I believe it is) Necklace with your letter c now. Where did you get this from? Would be very grateful to know ☺️

  15. DVC is so complicated and so many things to consider. We took 2 years from a tour and 1-1 discussions with our agent to actually going ahead.
We absolutely don’t regret it, but lots of cautions.
Don’t buy Riviera – so many restrictions on resale, so the value drops straight away.
Have a look at buying resale – much cheaper, but again, not without issues.
Have you found WDW Prep School? They’ve just done a whole piece in their podcast talking to owners…

Still loving the vlogs btw and just rebooked the WBTA next November (Eeks ⛈️ but it’s a much more southerly route after Biscay and the prices were amazing!)
