🙌 I finally got a chance to try out Mica’s for lunch today and I am delighted. I got the cheesesteak burrito, my wife got the bean and cheese burrito and we split a horchata cold brew. First off, the tortilla’s are perfect; a little stretch and a little crisp. The steak in the cheesesteak was delicious, along with the egg, mushroom, peppers and cheese. The green sauce was the right choice for this one, a little spice. The bean and cheese was exactly what my wife wanting it to be. I tried hers too and it’s was simple and tasty (though i preferred mine). We got the red sauce (basic salsa) with that and it gave it a little more life. The horchata coffee was also a perfect weekend treat. Spot on across the board and the drive through was decently speedy. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. Anyone else try other items yet?

So glad to finally see something about this place. Thanks for the review, gonna check them out this weekend!

Ngl, idk if the pictures aren’t doing it justice but the burrito looks incredibly basic and $13 is retarded

The tortillas do look good but $13.50 for what looks like a basic breakfast taco can miss me fully.

Eggs have gone up, homemade tortillas, labor costs, etc etc etc

Yeah I couldn’t pay $8 for a bean and cheese burrito. Money’s too tight for that. I wouldn’t expect this place to last at those prices.

It’s an interesting location. That area is less than 5min from both the art district to the south and the gentrification zone to the west, and the prices would actually be pretty competitive in either of those areas, but viscerally seems exorbitant for the block it’s on.

The cheesesteak burrito looks portioned and priced similarly to what I’d expect to pay for 2-3 specialty breakfast tacos on Springdale, and the horchata coffee seems like a good deal vs a similar drink at let’s say Palomino, but you’re also paying for the ambiance of those places

  7. I just tried this place, it’s quite convenient as a drive-through. My biggest pet peeve though is that their scrambled eggs aren’t mixed well so you end up having marbled semi cooked white bits in the burrito. I think El chilito is hands-down better value for money

Mica’s is delicious! The Chilaquiles burrito is so yummy, big enough for two people to split easily (and for $12) it should be. They have good espresso based coffees with fun syrups, such as lavendar, which is reasonably priced. Also, have obvious LGBTQ friendly owners as noted by hired staff. Support! Support! Support!
