  3. Try soaking the fish in the Louisiana Red Hot Sauce for 5 to 10 mins then use your corn meal, It will not be hot but will have a very great flavor, this I am positive of. Been using this method for over 60 years, just give it a try, you won’t be sorry!!!

  4. Yes on the dill with homemade tartar sauce, and a bit of crushed capers too. Got some catfish filets in the freezer begging for this recipe. Gotta make up some hushpuppies though, along with a side of slaw and some baked beans.

  9. You asked about dill in tartar sauce. Absolutely I use it. My recipe is similar to yours. I also add just a little yellow mustard. For the amount of tartar you made, I might add about 1 to 2 tsp of yellow mustard.
