That’s a lot of onion, good luck! I like to mix red, yellow, and maybe some white if I’m feeling spicy

This will be nearly a quarter cup of caramelized onions.

Maybe, but I’d cut one more so the rows are even anyway.

I am interested in what you expected to hear from an onion lover sub regarding having enough onions.

This should be enough for a small pot of French onion soup. Like maybe 2-4 portions depending on size

Depends on how many farts per minute (FPM) you are aiming for

3 more to make it a baker’s dozen.

I’m caramelizing onions tonight and told my partner to bring home onions. He brought me 4 onions. Didn’t understand my disappointment.

Will the all sliced thin fill your biggest pan? If not keep going.

There’s still space on the cutting board..

  14. I use 9 onions for 2 people with a big left over.

for a small soup for 1 or maybe 2 people, yes. onions shrink down a lot during cooking.

How much soup? And what kind? Simple mire poix? Yes. Fr. Onion? Maybe for a few it’s. We used to do a full 6″ hotel pan heaped for a 5 gal bucket.

Iirc, I saw a post on here some time ago where there was approximately 15l of raw onions (much, much more than this) and it went down to like a liter or 2 of soup. Probably. My memory is bad. But basically, this isn’t enough.
