Today on Bear’s Recipes, after some pruning time in the garden, we found ourselves with lots of green cherry tomatoes. So, I’m going to show you how to fry them into a favorite southern treat!

Ingredients:
Green cherry tomatoes
Bread crumbs
Corn meal
Salt
Old Bay seasoning
Corn starch
Egg whites

Recipe Steps:
Wash your green cherry tomatoes well.

Prepare your breading station:
Bowl 1: Bread crumbs, corn meal, salt, and Old Bay seasoning.
Bowl 2: Corn starch.
Bowl 3: Egg whites, whisked until foamy.

Coat your tomatoes in corn starch.
Dip them in the egg mixture.
Roll them in the bread crumb mixture.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the tomatoes in batches for a few minutes until golden brown.
Dry them on a paper towel.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and there you have it—little cherry flavor bombs for you to enjoy!
