I’ve been meal prepping for over 21 years, starting when I was 13 for wrestling to help make weight. The best 4 “hacks” I’ve found to make large batches of high protein meals has been using this 10qt crockpot. It easily holds 10lbs of chicken breast with more than enough room to add a ton of vegetables AND still have room to shred without spilling over to make 10 days of lunches (2 lunches/day).
Gordon Food Service near me has by the cheapest chicken, with prices being as low as $1.75/pound earlier in January, and there’s no membership fees for those that have one near by.
The two compartment Tupperware is cheap and has now lasted me multiple years. I can fit two meals into 1 container totaling 100g of protein in the larger and 100g carbs (rice) or vegetables in the smaller.
And my favorite part is using a shipping scale to weigh. The crock pot cooking liner I have pictured is exactly 10.1lbs and fits on the larger scale compared to a food scale. No more guessing about how much cooked food weight should go in each container with a little math. Plus the detached display means the crockpot doesn’t cover the display like on my smaller food scale.
Hope this helps someone!

You’re a legend! I’ve been looking for more bulk meal prep ideas with high protein like this one
10lbs for $24…lol
I would have to pay over $100 for 10lbs of chicken. It’s $25 for a 2lb pack near me
There are LOTS of crock pots and instant pots every time I go to any thrift store! For like 6$ ! If you need one I recommend going there before Amazon 🙂
