First attempt. Far from perfect but only one roll popped open and they tasted good 🙂

  1. So what I would do differently:

    – cut the carrot very thinly aka julienne. That way you don’t have these big chunks of raw carrot.
    – cut the other stuff a bit thinner as well.
    – get a good quality and very sharp knife to cut the roll. My favorite budget friendly option that has the best performance is the Robert Herder Santoku.
    – …and no ketchup.

I think it’s looks pretty decent for a first attempt

This thing looks dry as a mfer. Is the tofu marinated? Doesn’t look like it. Throw it on a pan and throw in some soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and seeds and let it sear a bit and thinly slice those veggies.

I’m both mystified and horrified. Is that tofu? And also carrots+cucumber in the same roll? Actually, just maybe no carrot next time.

Also…ketchup? Yeah…this one is gonna be a no. Sorry

Edit: read that it’s sriracha. You sorta saved yourself lmao maybe a tiny bit of kewpie for more flavor next time, since you used tofu instead of fish
