I just wanted to offer a bit of encouragement to others in the same, zig zaggy, super frustrating boat as me. After 3 months of steady 1lb per week weightloss, I hit a snag in February and couldn't seem to progress. It was extra frustrating as I had started really trying to take it seriously at this point – more cardio, weights, watching protein and water intake.
I knew in theory it was likely to be water weight from the extra strength training but it was still hard to see the numbers going up.
After 2 weeks, I decided to up my physical activity slightly and keep an even closer eye on my calories and then Boom! End of Feb, it all came off and has stayed off!
So don't be afraid of plateaus guys, so long as you are tracking carefully, the weight is coming off and it will show eventually!
