My favourite wine is from California. 😭😭😭

Aren’t they just virtue signaling? They took product off the shelves that is already imported? Canada, right?

  3. Kung_fu_gift_shop

Could someone clarify to me why Canada pulls it from the shelf after it’s already imported? I get not ordering any more from the US but why sit on inventory?

  4. RagingLeonard

When Russia invaded Ukraine, a local chain here in Texas, pulled all their Russian vodka. However, they sold it from backstock if anyone asked. Virtue signaling is silly.

Screw Trump. It’s a shame for those producers but you gotta do what you’ve gotta do

  6. ThisMeansWine

US wineries/distilleries aren’t responsible for governmental policies like tariffs and the backlash against those producers is misguided.

Not sure why some Canadians are celebrating their government-run liquor stores removing US products and giving them less options.

If I lived in Canada, I would rather have the ability to decide for myself if I want to purchase US products rather than the government take that option away from me.

I live in California and I hardly buy any wine from here. There are a few, but I’m mostly picking up European wine. So many decent California wines are wildly overpriced for what they are.

This is nothing more than a publicity stunt .. it was already purchased and therefore it doesn’t matter.

Now put your money where your mouth is (photo), and replace the signage and product and never buy American again.

But.. we all know that won’t happen. Spare me the posturing..

  9. So I’m curious what do they do with their current supply of wine and spirits? Put them in storage? Destroy them?

    I’m assuming this is Canada.

  10. Wait do me! I want a chance on the downvote train!

*Ahem*… Trudeau is playing a silly game and these wine brands will be back on the shelves within months if not sooner when the long standing Canadian tariffs against the US are removed.

    Weeeeeeee!!!

  11. _Papa_Oso777

Lol the country’s gain that removed them 😂

  12. Could explain why Lake Ontario had a tint to it today.

  13. Cool_Cartographer_39

    Isn’t that a boycott, not a tariff?

I remember Republicans dumping French wine after 9/11, calling French Fries “Freedom Fries” and more. Now they seem miffed that the tactic is being used against them which is the snowflakiest thing ever.
