I decided to try some of the Jose Gourmet small smoked mackerel last night.
Pros:
Beautiful presentation and tasty olive oil
Meaty fish with a good texture, pleasant Smokey taste and not an overwhelming fishy taste
Con:
The fish was bit dry especially the meat more in the center of the fish, seems like it was less penetrated by the oil. This was for the thicker denser pieces.
I ended up dipping them into some espinaler sauce and spicy mayo and had a tasty post workout snack

They do look beautiful…sucks about being on the dry side.
