The first photo is the nutritional label for Splenda brown sugar blend, which advertises being half of the calories of brown sugar. The serving size is 1 tsp/4g for 15 calories. The second label is the regular brown sugar and the serving size is 2 tsp/8g for 30 calories 🤦♀️ The false advertising is ridiculous.

sucralose does sweeten way more than sugar per gram. i sometimes make food with a mix of honey and sucralose (splenda) as splenda stretches the sweetness a lot while still getting the homey flavor
I think they do advertise that the blend is twice as sweet, so you use half of the amount a normal recipe calls for, which ends up being less calories.
On another note, try the Splenda Magic Baker brown sugar. It’s 0 cals, acts just like brown sugar (sorta moist and packable) and to me it’s one of the closest tasting sugar substitutes to the real thing. It’s like $7 for a package on Amazon.
