No idea, but the Eggo chocolate chip thick n fluffy waffles are less calories than a plain thick n fluffy one. I don’t get it.

I have no idea but I feel like something is off?? now this bothers me 😭

well, they are both 28g serving size – if I had to guess, 5 of the drizzled weighs less than 5 of the fully coated. So if you weighed both out at 28g you would have more quantity of the drizzled.
Also, Packaging can be within 20% of the correct nutrition facts and they do not always calculate honestly.

I’d have to see for myself, but potentially the fully dipped ones are smaller than the drizzled ones.

email the manufacturer and let us know 😂

Also noticing that the drizzled ones are cocoa processed with a bunch of different oils while the fully coated are actual chocolate.

It’s maybe a rounding thing- the pretzels are 110cal/28 grams and dark chocolate is around 150cal/28 grams
Say the drizzled ones are 22g pretzel (86cal) and 6g chocolate (32cal) that would be 118cal which rounds up to 120
Then say the coated ones are 18g pretzel (70.7cal) and 10g chocolate (53.5cal) that would be 124cal which rounds down to 120
Obviously I don’t know the exact proportions that they use but based on the macros (3.5g fat vs 6g fat) it doesn’t look like that dipped ones have *that* much more chocolate than the drizzled ones

When in doubt, calculate what the calories in the macros amount to. Fat is 9 calories per gram, while carbs and protein are 4 calories per gram.
>**Drizzled**
>Fat: 31.5 cals
>Carb: 84 cals
>Protein: 8 cals
>**Total**: 123.5 cals
vs.
>**Covered**
>Fat: 54 cals
>Carb: 76 cals
>Protein: 8 cals
>**Total**: 138 cals
So you would be correct, there is a bit of a discrepancy here!

The coated ones are higher in fat and sugar and lower in carbs. I’m guessing most of the calories are coming from chocolate in those, and most of the calories are coming from pretzels in the drizzled ones. You probably get fewer pieces per serving with the coated ones even if they’re the same size.
Edit: just noticed they’re both “about 5 crackers” per serving. Must be a size difference! Maybe?

Maybe the actual pretzels for the covered ones are smaller?
