Honestly, not very successful. The dough wasn't the right type but they didn't have puff pastry.

you dont… make them long… and then cut them…

No pastry. It’s sausage wrapped in bacon for a Pig in blanket.
What you made is a Sausage Roll.
LastScoobySnack
To your credit mate, I also thought that pigs in a blanket were wrapped in dough, not bacon.
Never even seen it in bacon.

Those look fine?
I think you could have added some sauce, personally, and maybe used nicer sausages, but, I mean, I’d eat that.

Those things are tapirs in comforters
ClerklierBrush0
I tried to make soft buns once with flour, yeast, milk, egg, sugar and ended up making a dense bread that tasted exactly like pigs in blanket bread
Toiretachi
Those aren’t pigs, those are feral hogs in blankets.

You couldnt find crescent roll dough in your town?
Wait those hot dogs look international- are you from outside the US?

…. For some reason I think you’re European. And everything about what you did screams gourmet interpretation compared to the ones I made growing up. Firstly we used the cheap hotdogs. The dough was Pillsbury crescents-from the can. And if you wanted to add cheese it was a slice of Kraft American cheese….
I’ve never heard of adding g or using bacon but I have had bacon wrapped hotdogs so I could see the appeal… I would think you would have to par-cook the bacon first though or everything would be soggy.

Your hogs in a tent don’t look bad tbh

You can use croissant dough
Hogs in a tarp more like
Bay of Pigs In A Blanket
For everyone beefing about what’s what:
* pigs ***in a*** blanket – US – dough wrapped sausage
* pigs ***in*** blankets – UK – bacon wrapped sausage
Duvet Dogs
Fuck it, I’d eat it.
These comments mildly infurated me😂. I rarely eat hot dogs but hot dogs in any form of dough are to be treated as a delicacy.
You might find success by searching “Brazilian salsichão” on Google, it’s much much that but you can skip the deep frying part if you want
