Dinner w/friends. Served blind except the egly.

E/O vignes de bisseuil deg ‘21: on point, perfect right now to me, not to be cellared much longer. Precise, nose of agrumes, iodine. Rich and elegant mouth, brioche, tomato leaves. Different from others E/O but beautiful as well. 93

Guigal La Landonne 04: a masterpiece in its drinking window. Perfumes of pepper, red fruits, leather and tobacco. Velvety and perfectly integrated tannins. Extremely long! 97

Fonsalette 2003: for a Côte du Rhône is incredible. A disguised rayas, definetly recognizable. Love the balsamic note and a nice acidity to balance the tannins, which are less refined than La landonne but still amazing. 96

Castell’in villa riserva 2004. Older vintages are gold. Really an amazing take on Chianti. Leather, spice, red fruits, vibrant tannins and a nice acidity. Never ending. 94

Cheers🥂

Fucking love Egly-Ouriet, hoping to snag a one -on-one appointment in May. Overall just a stellar lineup. Of course those Rhônes are fantastic but I’m a sucker for aged, quality Chianti. Bravo
