A new Mediterranean restaurant named Aron’s Place has found it’s “perfect” home. The venue brings a fresh culinary experience to Allerton Road in South Liverpool.

Aron’s Place offers several menus, including an all-day breakfast, brunch and grill. Mediterranean dishes include traditional plates such as lamb skewers, halloumi burgers and various salads. The venue’s owner, Jonny, named the business after his son, Aron.

The restaurant has created five new full and part-time jobs with the number expected to increase in the summer. Owner Jonny said: “We have been looking for a site on Allerton Road for sometime, and this site is perfect for what we wanted in terms of location.

“Whether it be a freshly brewed coffee or a light bite for lunch we have a range of freshly cooked dishes to suit everyone. Allerton Road has some amazing restaurants and bars and we are very happy to now be part of this well-known and loved road in the South of Liverpool.”

Aron’s Place is the first of several upcoming arrivals to open on Allerton Road. Couple Darren and Rebecca Roper are in the final stages of launching a French-inspired patisserie with a twist, Patisserie Suburbs.

The venue will be open Thursday to Sunday and stock everything from croissants for breakfast, vegan sandwiches for lunch, and late-night treats including opera cake. The menu takes inspiration from Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours while offering a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

Suburbs Patisserie will launch as a takeaway service only due to the kitchen’s size requirements but there are plans for a summertime outdoor seating space. An opening date is set for February 21.

The Michelin-recognised restaurant Pilgrim is also set to open in the near future. The business was previously housed in Duke Street Market but confirmed last year, following a four-year absence, it would return in a new home on Allerton Road.
