“Greece Uncorked: Macedonia Dance & Wine Exhibition,” which took place at the Maliotis Cultural Center in Brookline, Massachusetts on March 8, 2025, was an unforgettable evening learning about the robust wine and folk dances of Northern Greece. The dance performances by the Metropolis of Boston Greek Dance Group stunned audiences and the lecture by Professor Loren J. Samons edified all.
The attendees mingled with fellow culture enthusiasts while sipping fine wine and tasting Mediterranean appetizers in this event organized by the Metropolis Dancing Group. The curated wines and historical insights about Macedonian wines were organized by AF Foundation.
One of the most passionate Philhellenes is Jay Samons, Professor of Classical Studies at Boston University, Chief Academic Advisor and Executive Director of the Institute for Hellenic Culture and the Liberal Arts at The American College of Greece in Athens. Additionally, the MCC is grateful the Consul General of Greece in Boston, Mr. Symeon Tegos honored them with his presence.
