How do y'all use Meati brand steaks? I've been seasoning with Montreal Steak Seasoning and pan frying, with A1 on the side but that's getting a bit boring. Anyone else use Meati and have some tried and true recipes? This is the original, not the carne asada variation.

I was not a fan. I cooked them according to the instructions, and it was like eating wet cardboard. It was a little better when I roasted them on top of some vegetables at 400° for 25 minutes.
Consider stocking up if you like them. They’re not doing so great right now. [https://www.denverpost.com/2025/03/10/meati-foods-shutting-down-thornton-plant-laying-off-150-workers/](https://www.denverpost.com/2025/03/10/meati-foods-shutting-down-thornton-plant-laying-off-150-workers/)
I am ambivalent about the meati steaks, like, they’re not bad-tasting but the texture wears on me after a while and I need to drink lots of water to get them down? I should have thought of A1 – I used to love that stuff back in the day (it was the only way I could eat real steak). I’m not sure what disney-inspired garlic green beans are, but they definitely need something green with them. 🙂
Had Meati once and had never gotten that sick in my life. Spent the next hour or so praying to the porcelain Gods.
I like to pan fry it with steak seasoning, then cube it and put it on top of fettuccine alfredo! With a side of roasted brussel sprouts or sautéed spinach it’s delicious!
Ok someone please explain the Disney reference for a confused Welsh Vegetarian.
