If it looks like a steak, and quacks like a steak,

  2. Manting123

Would. Love me some duck. Did you save the extra fat? Everything tastes better cooked in duck fat.

  3. TickleMePink_ttv

I’d love to honestly see more dishes here ngl (I know this is r/steak)

  4. Unless there’s something else very compelling, I’m ordering duck at a restaurant if it’s on the menu almost every time.

Best thing about duck hunting, actually getting to cock fresh duck breast.

If duck is poultry, why can it be eaten rare when chicken can’t? Does anyone know?

  7. At first I didn’t read it and I was like “Bro idk what is wrong with your steak but DO NOT EAT THAT SHIT hahahah” hope it was delicious.

Before I saw it was duck I was about to say that might be the worst prepared steak I’ve seen lol

Looks good but the skin needs to be a little bit crispier.

I was today years old when I found out I could eat duck medium rare

  11. Needs more rendering and crisp on that skin. Light scoring of the far will help render and starting on a warm pan fat side down bringing to a high heat then flipping.

This is cooked perfectly for my taste. Duck is probably my favourite meat. At least from an animal that lives on land.

Damn this looks delicious! Would do a bit more seat of the skin, but meat is done to perfection!

Looks good but the fat should be rendered a bit more, it gets crispy and amazing! 80% of the cook should be done skin side down.

  15. I *do* appreciate it, as a matter of fact. Looks great!

  16. Honestly yeah I do appreciate it. That looks delicious.

I LOVE duck, but my blushing bride can’t stand it. So no duck for daddy…

Not too many Reddit food pics give me the mouth-water, nice job 🍻

Reminds me of this place near me that does a great duck frites, and for a reasonable price!

I prefer my duck a little more done than that, but still looks great. Got some woodies this year and butter basted them like I would a steak with some blackened Cajun seasoning. It was phenomenal.

  21. Oh God yes. Literally salivating. I may have a problem.

I’ve never had duck before. Strictly because I’ve never really been subjected to it.

This looks amazing though and I’d love to try duck. Is duck a red meat always?

What was the internal temp? Whats safe for duck?
