Lol – I barely drink American wine anyway these days as California prices especially have rocketed (mostly labour costs).

It sucks to be you, or y’all, but you chose this and you’re going to have to suck it.

I’m not thinking it won’t have any detrimental effect on producers, but for consumers in Europe, we are literally pissing our pants with laughter about how little this matters.

  2. That probably almost exactly what it would cost with a 200% tariff. Not a nightmare I want to see come true.

Helpful that they also provide the price per gallon.

  4. $250?! Got the 2009 for $116 from CDG duty free back in January

Insanity. Hard pass when I can get epic back vintages for less.

  6. That’s confusing. Tariffs should apply to items not already here in the US. This is price gouging.

Piping in from Quebec, Canada, price for the 2021 bottle all throughout the province is $69.50 USD ($100 CAD). That’s utterly insane !!!

Retail on this bottle is around $100 generally.

According to wine-searcher, you can get this in NY, NJ, MI, MA, and CA for sub-$70 USD. Facts aren’t as exciting as anecdotes though 🤷🏻
