Garlic Confit:

Ingredients:

2 whole garlic bulbs
Rosemary
Thyme
1/2 tbsp chili flakes
Olive oil
Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the whole garlic bulbs, a sprig of rosemary, a few sprigs of thyme, 1/2 tbsp of chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of salt.

Step 3: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake it in the preheated oven at a low temperature (180°C/350°F) for about 30 minutes, or until the garlic cloves are soft and golden.

Garlic Bread:

Ingredients:

Baguette
3-4 tbsp (heaped) butter
30g parsley, chopped
1 tbsp chili flakes
Pinch of salt
Roasted garlic (from the confit)
Cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, or any cheese of your choice)

Instructions:

Step 1: In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, chopped parsley (30g), and roasted garlic from the confit until well combined.

Step 2: Using a knife, carefully cut the baguette open lengthwise, creating two halves.

Step 3: Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each slice.

Step 4: Generously top each slice with your choice of cheese.

Step 5: Before placing the prepared garlic bread slices on the baking tray, generously spray the tray with butter to prevent sticking

Step 6: Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Note: Due to unavailability at the supermarket, rosemary was not included in the recipe. Please ensure to include rosemary for the best flavor.
