THE BEST COCKTAIL BARS

THE BEST WINE BARS

Host of the year

Volker Seibert, Seiberts, Cologne

Volker Seibert has been behind the bar for over 32 years, and some people still know him from the legendary Capri Lounge. But he created his own monument. Here, in the Liquid Kitchen of his Seibert’s Bar, he can do what he does best: serve fabulous drinks made from inimitable ingredients as a consummate host!

Barmaid of the year

Luisa Fritsche, Gin House, Dresden

From breakfast service at the Taschenbergpalais to the international bar Olympus: Luisa Fritsche’s rise is breathtaking. At just 26 years old, she is Germany’s World Class Bartender of the Year, but proves every day at Dresden’s Gin House that creating cocktails is an art that she has mastered to perfection.

Bartender of the year

Lennart Geist, The Door, Karlsruhe

Lennart Geist is a man of conviction. With his bar The Door, he has not only been revitalizing the Karlsruhe cocktail scene for years, but also lives the zero-waste concept. His Sip the City concept follows the premise of not only collecting ingredients for drinks locally and sustainably, but also making them available for months. Sustainable and with the guest in mind.

Most innovative bartender

Benito Opitz & Philipp Schmitz, Mondhügel Bar, Berlin

Innovation also means doing things yourself. The two owners of the Mondhügel Bar take this approach to the extreme: they make everything they need for their drinks themselves. This also applies to spirits, syrups and tonics. If you’re looking for truly unique drinks, you’ve come to the right place. And you only pay as much as you want.

Rookie bartender of the year

Cedric Golze Schlieper, Rosebud Bar, Cologne

Cedric realized very early on that his heart beats for the bar. He has been behind the bar since 2015 and, after several stops, has found his home in Cologne’s Rosebud, where he can now give free rein to his creativity as bar manager. With his deep intuition for flavor combinations, he succeeds in delighting his guests every day anew.

Bar team of the year

The Collab Bar, Hamburg

In mid-2023, Chloé März and André Lembcke realized their first own bar project with the Collab Bar – and made it to the top bars in the country in no time at all. Together with their team, they have created a high-end neighborhood bar where the focus is on conscious enjoyment and non-alcoholic drinks are also served as a matter of course.
