I bought this in Sweden about six months ago and finally tried it today! The tomato sauce was not too sweet, having instead taken on the nice smoky flavor from the fish. The tin came with nine sardines, some with larger portions of the fin still attached; the texture of the fish was overall flaky and tender. These paired excellently with a spicy lentil vegetable stew and Dijon mustard for tonight’s dinner. I give these a 4/5 and will probably get another tin or two during my next visit.

What is it about the association of royalty with sardines in Scandinavia?

I love the brislings but Oscar has to step his royal portrait game up. My guy Gustaf is over here in full color man.
