When you want vinegar that was bottled in a facility close to a pepper farm.

I know not everyone is a fan of the style but if you are and haven’t had the reserve, you are missing out. It’s got much more flavor and body compared to the normal 3 year ferment. Reserve takes that to 8 years I believe. Loads more flavor, slightly spicier. Once you’ve had it – it will be hard to go back to the regular sauce.

It’s truly phenomenal. I’m almost exclusively a craft sauce/farmers market guy, but you gotta give credit where credit is due. This on grits or any Cajun/creole food is just incomparable to any other sauce. And I love me some crystal.

Love the reserve…it has such a good flavor.

Yep, If you like fermented funk (I do!) This is better than the norm Tabasco. I appreciate the time it took to develop that flavor.

Weird they have a typo on the bottle. Clearly it’s TObasco.

My favorite. Will spend more than I should to get it.

My ex was friends with members of the McIlhenny family and I got to stay at Avery Island for a weekend. They gave me a personalized bottle of family reserve, and said that it was made from peppers grown only on the island (the rest of their sauces use peppers sourced from all over the world in case of crop failure in one country).
Other interesting things I learned was that they had several unlabeled bottles of prototype sauces they were testing out in their own kitchens, and that none of the kids get to work for the company straight out of college – they have to make their own careers before getting hired on at Tabasco.

Yep, always have a bottle. It’s so much more full bodied and pepper forward.

Funny, I once did business with his nephew. He said the only cut he gets, is awesome gift boxes from his uncle. He did say he was an awesome uncle and did a lot of cool stuff for the extended family, like bring them together for family events. I only knows because he had the same last name and I asked not expecting him to say yes, that’s my family

It’s good if you just want spice but other than that, meh
