  1. ❤❤❤ this is our first time and I really enjoyed your video I didn't know anything about the twisting of the biscuits when I was paying attention cuz I'm starting laughing and I said I always twist when I make my biscuits but I understand why now. Peace and Blessings Stay Encouraged and Encouraging 🌹 Be Good To Yourself 🙏💜🕯️

  2. I made some chicken soup and these biscuits for my husband. Oh my gosh, he loved them! He ate 3 with the soup and 2 more 3 hours later! Said they were the best biscuits I had ever made! He will usually eat one, maybe two of my biscuits and that's it. They are the absolute best biscuits I have tasted. So buttery and soft. Thank you so much for sharing this easy and delicious recipe!

  5. I actually like my biscuits a little browner! AJSUK you should melt the butter in the oven or a pan on the stove! BECAUSE the Micky will destroy what nutrish. is in the butter!!!

  6. How to tell when you biscuit is just right, You mix up some black strap molasses and when you dtag that biscuit through it & it tares it right in half ye knw its right!!!

  7. I’m loving that 2cup measuring cup. My mom liked the can biscuits also but my cousin was the baker in the family. I’ve begun to make different things, traditionally. I will be making these biscuits and I know my mom and cousin are watching me and saying, you go girl!!! They look delicious. Thank you for your tutorial.

  8. Franni since YouTube knows that I love to bake they recommend your lovely video. Like you say I have made so many different biscuit recipe and I could tell you I have a 3 ingredient recipe is flour, salt, and heavy cream and that was the most soft biscuit I have made until I made your this morning! Your biscuit recipe was the most buttery of all the biscuits I have ever made they came out crispy on the top and bottom and soft in the inside we had them with hot chocolate yum 😋. I love your soothing voice and you explain everything so well. Like you say we are all here to learn from you and you from us. My husband said I wish she was my neighbor so she could bring me biscuits. Well his wish came true because I made your recipe and he loved them that he is willing to try making them himself will see lol. Like I always say thank you from my kitchen to yours keep on baking.

  9. If you can make a poundcake and biscuit you got it going on!

    I know that’s right!

    New subbie here! 😊

  10. Thank you for posting this!
You can just use a stick of butter along the top if you can't find your brush- and I make a lot of yeast roll type bread and I always top with Maldon sea salt flakes after I brush them with butter. I think I'll try that with your biscuits!
Edit add on: My mom passed away before showing me how to make hers. The ones you make look exactly like them- so truly, thank you.

  11. I'm so glad I found you. You're so fun to watch. Just like having you in my kitchen. No music, just baking. This is my second video now, I'm hooked, and subscribed. Your first video I watched was the chocolate chip crumbl cookie. I can't wait to make both of these recipes. 😋

  12. Let me tell you since I’ve seen your easy biscuit recipe, I knowI’ve made these biscuits about 15x and they’re getting better and better each time. Now I already can throw down in the cake department but have the hardest time with yeast and dinner roll. Heck I’m no longer studying those suckers since I’ve mastered these. Thanks so very much!! ❤❤

  13. Oh and I’ve been really trying to take a picture but these tigers I live with never seem to leave not a one. They grab them burning hot and all straight out of the oven. I’ve even gotten a bit fancy and added a bit of shredded cheese. That’s knocked it out of the park! Thanks so much for sharing.

  14. When you can make biscuits, rice and a pound cake you are in the game. These biscuits look amazing. I'm trying this recipe today. I remember calling my grandma when i was 16 asking for her recipe. She made them everyday for a large family. My biscuit was huge, the size of a tin pie pan. Hard as a rock😂😂😂. Hadn't tried since in over 30 plus years but will today. Thank you for the recipe ❤️

  15. That's how my granny use to do it, she would pinch them off. They came out the sameway everytime. She is 86 now can't see well and haven't made them in a few years. I sure miss them. I have never mastered her biscuits. I am gonna try this recipe.

  16. Thank you for taking me into your beautiful kitchen, your beautiful southern charm, and your yummy looking biscuits!!!! I am happy I came across your tutorial!❤

  17. Wow! I did it! I actually did it! I'm 65 years old and have never made such a pretty biscuit in my life! They're slightly crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft inside. And they aren't leaning towers like I usually get. Just perfectly shaped biscuits! I did not have self-rising flour so I measured out the 2 cups of all-purpose flour and added a half teaspoon salt and 3 teaspoons of baking powder to that to make my self-rising flour. Then I followed your recipe and procedure exactly. It worked great! Mind you I'm not a beginner baker, I have made everything from gingerbread cookies to homemade bread to Portuguese custard tarts with scratch made puff pastry. And I could not master a biscuit. NOW I have! Thank you so much!

  18. it is so true you can feel if the dough is right when you first touch it. if it is heavy the biscuits are not gonna be so good

  19. I made this recipe but I got from another person, but I just had to agree with you; these are simple and delicious. I usually don’t use self rising flour but my husband went to the store twice to get me AP flour and I ended up with 20 pounds of self rising flour! So now I’m on the look out for recipes using self rising flour.

  20. 21. HEY FRANNIE JO I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL TODAY, AND I AM DEFINATELY GONNA TRY THIS BISQUIT RECIPE… I WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN SHOW ME HOW YOU MAKE YOUR CHOCOLATE CHIP W/WALNUTS COOKIES? I AM SEEKING A CHOCO CHIP RECIPE THAT I REMEMBER AS A CHILD WHERE THE COOKIE IS SEMI FLAT AND CRISPIE AROUND THE EDGES BUT CHEWY IN THE CENTER.

  22. I just tried this recipe and now I'm a biscuit baker! They came out wonderful. Crispy on the outside, soft and flakey on the inside. Ate really well with some butter and raspberry jam. Thanks so much for this easy recipe and excellent video…makes us "first-timers" feel like Michelin Star chefs.

  23. Salted Butter? Or UnSalted Butter? Does it matter? (There’s a discrepancy in your directions…)

  24. Your biscuits look so delicious.I’m going to make these biscuits tonight with my roast and gravy.thank you for the recipe.❤️
