Taiwan back at it again, this time it includes a snake

  1. Just so you guys get the whole picture. Those detail photos, the top one is a salted/dried daikon filling wrapped with the herbal mochi, snake part (middle pic) is a puff pastry snake filled with cheese, and the bottom is red bean filling inside the herbal mochi. The daikon and red bean are the toppings just under the green mochi on the actual pizza. And the snake kinda denotes the boundaries of the 2 toppings. I’m just relieved they didn’t put the toppings on top of each other.

I’m sad they didn’t have this kind of monstrosity for me to try last time I was there. And for sure this is a crime.

This is a creative crime, to the point its no longer pizza.

Taiwan commits so many pizza crimes. Pizza Hut there in particular has a lot of “creative” pizza toppings. They’ll put creamed corn, shrimp, even abalone on pizza. It’s pretty wild. Last time I was there, I could not find a simple cheese or veggie pizza at Pizza Hut. They also don’t let you customize and choose your own toppings.

How about this hot pot pizza?

I had the boba pizza in Taiwan several years ago. It was actually pretty good

I can’t blame Taiwan for that, as that is a Pizza Hut product and is therefore a guess by an American companiy’s insane marketing team.
