Arya-Sande grew up in Iran where she developed a passion for Persian and Mediterranean cuisine at an early age. Arya-Sande first fell in love with The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill while she was in PA School. She frequented the founders’ original location in Henderson as it was a hot spot for meeting friends to study and eat. Before the restaurant began franchising, she always thought it should expand to Reno, and was thrilled that years later, she and Sande would be the ones to accomplish just that.
As a lifelong local, Sande spent 10 years working alongside his father, John Sande III, and building his footprint in Reno as an attorney before branching out to start his own law and lobby firm, Argentum Partners. Sande graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University, where he also played football, most notably supporting his team in competing in the Rose Bowl in 2000. He later earned his law degree from Santa Clara University and returned home to Nevada to pursue his career.
The restaurant also specializes in catering large parties, events and meetings and is ideal for family gatherings. It offers memorable, mouthwatering Mediterranean spreads with bold flavors that leave a lasting impression.
