I forgot its name tag so I dont know if it’s Cherokee purple or San Marzano? Any tomatoe experts can you please help me ID?

  2. You really can’t tell until it fruits. However, in my experience San Marzano’s leaves are often “scragglier” than most other tomatoes, including Cherokee Purples. I stopped growing San Marzanos because they were such a pain, looked like Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree compared to my other tomatoes.

    *Probably* Cherokee Purple because most paste-style tomatoes have wispier-looking leaves, especially at this size. But it’s really too soon to know. You’ll know as soon as the fruit starts growing because it’ll be round if Cherokee Purple or oblong if San Marzano. I’d bet it’s Cherokee Purple, though… lmk if I’m right lol
