  1. How was it? Can’t describe how much I like communal Burgundy

First step into higher-end Burgundy. Red fruit and floral nose, plus a touch of earthiness and black tea. On the palate, silky smooth with just the right balance of acidity and fine tannins. Fruit was elegant and pure, finish was lengthy.

Not a traditional pairing, but was great with steak. Would be my daily drinker if it wasn’t $200. Sets the bar high, especially for a village level wine. Makes me wonder how the 1er compares.

Was it ready to drink? I have a 2021 and can’t decide how long to wait before opening.
